Who

Probably YOU! Boy Scout Leader Wood Badge is for adult leaders directly involved with the operation of a scout troop. The most important qualification is the desire to Do Your Best as a scout leader. For specific qualifications, see Wood Badge Eligibility below.

What

Wood Badge is the advanced training course for adult Scouters. It was begun in 1919 by Robert Baden-Powell, the founder of the Scouting movement. Participants live the patrol method while they learn leadership and scoutcraft skills that will help them deliver a stronger program to the boys that they serve.

When

Our Wood Badge course will run for3 weekends in September and October 1998. There is also a 2-hour pre-course meeting scheduled about 1 month before the course.

Why

Training is the keystone of a strong troop. A trained leader is in a better position to deliver the promise of a well-planned and well-balance program. Regardless of your level of experience in Scouting, there is something for you at Wood Badge. And, Wood Badge is a lot of fun.

How Much Does Wood Badge Cost

The training fee for the course is $180.00. This covers training materials, food and the use of the camp.
