Hello from Nova Scotia. My 95 yr old grandmother was born Anne (or Annie) Martha Clements in Rochdale, Richmond County, Cape Breton NS. Ancestry is Acadian, many expelled in 1755 by Loyalists to various parts of North America, especially Louisiana (Cajun ousins!) We believe the origial name was Clemenceau. Good sites are Nova Scotia GenWeb Project. Love to hear from anyone. Planning on visiting Richmond County in the next few weeks. Want to find out as much as possible while my grandmother is still with u and has her memory!

I'm searching for information on my CLEMENT line. Specifically, I am searching for information on my grandfather, "...Charles James CLEMENT. He was born 1 Apr 1869 in Suncook, NH. His parents were Both born in Canada and at the time of his death in 192 , his obituary said he had two sisters living in Canada and one brother, Ellie D. CLEMENT, residing in Nethuen (probably Methuen), MA. I have his complete lineage from his marriage to Anna Marie Specht in 1902. Also, the following quite probably is correct (at least in part): a). Charles James Clement's father was named Charles Clement and his mother may have been Anastesie Galarneau. b). Both parents were born in Canada and French was the language spoken in their home. c). His father was born 5/23/1834 (the child of Etienne Clement and Françoise Cephire (dates of birth and death unknown)) and died 7/23/1910 in Pembroke, NH and his mother, whoever she was, was definitely born 11/19/1846 and died 5/20/1927. d). Charles James Clement left home at a very early age because he had trouble with the Catholic religion. e). He had at three siblings (if the preceding is correct, he really had many more that he was not aware of). These were a brother (possibly named Ellie D. Clement) and two sisters (possibly named Lillian Clement and Unknown)." f). He married Anna Marie Specht in Duluth in 1902 and the two of them moved to Oregon/Washington where he worked as had a Timber Cruiser and subsequently opened his own business in Portland. g). Charles and Anna had two sons, Charles Detlow Clement and Raymond Wellington Clement. I am the first born son of Raymond and I have the complete lineage from my birth in 1938 to the present.

Greetings cousins !!! My wife and I just started putting together family surname resource web sites. Within an hour we were able to trace her family back to the year 1212 (thanks to LDS Family Search). I have not been so lucky. I've been searching for about a week for a con ection to either side of my family tree. My father is Irwin Edwin Clements, born November, 1908 (still living). My maternal grandmother's maiden name is Lenora Clement, b. around 1900. I would be very interested to link either of these individuals to a GEDCOM database somewhere. I have further family information in an old family bible which is somewhere in my house, but I know there is not much in there from my father's side anyway.

This geneaology thing is really fascinating. We've traced my wife's back as far as the 1200's. I haven't found much in the way of my heritege yet. I have two variations of the "CLEMENS" name in my family. My father was named Irwin Ediwin Clements, Born Nov, 1908. (I have more on him somewhere). My Grandmother, on my mother's side was named Lenora Clement, DOB unknown, but I believe she was born in Ontario, Canada. She married into the name of Hachey. I'm looking for any information I can find on these two individuals.

I would like to find out about my father's side of the family. His parents were John and Elizabeth Clement from Hungary. They emigrated to the US where John worked in a mill and lived in Granite City, IL, near East St. Louis. They had 3 children - Arthur and Joseph, and my father Andrew, all of whom are deceased. We know nothing about anyone before that, except that I think these Clements originally came to Hungary from England. Any info can be sent to abc_jr_99@yahoo.com. Thanks!!

I am looking for information on Olive Mae Clemens. She was born in Canton, Ohio on Feb.13, 1906 possibly in Stark County. She married Lenard Howard Lindsey. I am not sure when or where he is orginally from. They had 1 son, my father, Lenard Jacob Lindsey. He was born on Nov. 13, 1938. If you can help me, please send me an e-mail. I am just getting started in researching my family tree. Thank you Donna Hutson
