Comments: Carolyn, I am so impressed with your web site. It looks great and I am intrigued by the contents. I am going to look at it a little longer just now but plan to return for frequent visits. I want to find out how you did all of this. One of the reasons am so crazy about your site is that I LOVE JANE AUSTEN. I visited her home outside of London one year when I was visiting some friends that live nearby. The house is very calm and modest. In some ways an entirely appropriate house for her. In other w ys it is shocking to think that such a brilliant and entertaining writer lived in such plain circumstances. (Also interesting considering that one of her brothers had quite an imposing house. Reminds me of the contrast between Elinor and Marianne's live and that of their brother). I also love Jane Eyre. I happen to prefer the recent Persuasion movie to Sense and Sensibility, but think S. and S. is charming too. (Maybe I just prefer P. to S. and S. in general). Also there are many movie versions of J ne Eyre but my favorite (and in some ways the most accurate)is the one with Timothy Dalton. For once in that one Jane is "right"' she is small and plain (though that is a subjective judgment and I really only mean she isn't a glamour queen at all).
