This red & white leopard appaloosa baby ( Xanadu Cherries Jubilee )is out of our herd sire R & C Spotlight... See her and our other horses at one of the Texas / Oklahoma AMHA shows or give us a call and visit our new farm location just South of Granbury, Texas.
Xanadu Farm located 5 miles South of Granbury, Texas is proud to display examples of the AMHA miniature horse breed. We are a family owned and operated miniature horse farm that has a focus on small, colorful horses, with outstanding conformation and bloodlines.
Miniature horses were used in England and Northern Europe as early as 1765 to pull ore carts in coal mines. They were also bred as pets for the royal families of Europe. Some were brought to the United States in the late 19th century and used in the mines. The miniature of today is a scaled down version of a full-size horse, with the same conformation standards. They can measure no taller than 34 inches at the withers, and come in all possible colors and patterns (appaloosas, pintos, dapples, solids, etc.) that you see on large horses. They have a gentle, affectionate nature. They are excellent for driving and as show horses.
Whether you are a breeder, a novice, investor, or just looking for that special pet, we welcome your comments and questions. Please visit us at our farm just Southwest of
the Dallas / Ft Worth area or at one of
the many AMHA shows in
the Texas, Oklahoma area.
