This is Dublin, the atypical golden retriever
(pictured above at the tender age of 3) . He just turned 11 years old
on March 5, and was born in Wind Gap, Pennsylvania in 1987. Although
lacking any known pedigree, and not AKC registered, he is still a
very special, not to mention unusual boy.
He won't retrieve, hates to swim, has a dark red coat,
is 28" at the withers, and weighs in at 95 pounds. He acts like a
golden most of the time, but he has mood swings, like a human. The
challenge in being his owner is figuring out when he's having a good
day and when not! People often ask if he is an Irish Setter, hence
his name! ("I've never seen a golden so big and so red and so
furry!")
