Asparagus Casserole

  1. 1 pkg. Waverly wafers
  2. 3 Tables. flour
  3. 1 stick oleo (melted)
  4. 1 cup milk
  5. 2 cans asparagus (drained)
  6. 1 jar Old English cheese spread
  7. package of slivered almonds

Mix crushed wafers and melted oleo. Line casserole and save a little for topping. Arrange drained asparagus on top of crumbs. sprinkle with almonds. Make sauce from flour, milk and cheese. Cook together until thick. Pour over asparagus. Sprinkle with remaining crumbs.

Bake 30 min at 375 deg.
Note: Not in original recipe but I also add:
3 chopped hard boiled eggs
2 small cans of mushrooms

Tip: Spray garbage sacks with ammonia to prevent dogs from tearing into them - before being picked up.
