1/2 CUP SUGAR
1/3 CUP PACKED BROWN SUGAR
1/2 CUP (1 STICK) BUTTER - SOFTENED
1/2 CUP PEANUT BUTTER
1/2 TEASP. VANILLA
1 EGG
1 CUP FLOUR
1/2 CUP QUICK OATS - UNCOOKED
1 TEASP. BAKING SODA
1/4 TEASP. SALT
1 CUP (6 OZ.) CHO. CHIPS
1 CUP CHOPPED NUTS
HEAT OVEN TO 350.
DO NOT USE A MIXED WITH THIS RECIPE.
1. USING A WOODEN SPOON, BEAT SUGARS, BUTTER, PEANUT BUTTER, VANILLA AND EGG UNTIL CREAMY.
2. MIX IN FLOUR, SODA, OATS AND SALT.
3. STIR IN CHO. CHIPS AND NUTS.
4. DROP DOUGH BY HEAPING TEASPOON ABOUT 2 INCHES APART ON UNGREASED BAKING SHEET.
5. THESE DO NOT SPREAD OUT MUCH.
6. BAKE ABOUT 8 MINUTES - THEY WILL BE SOFT BUT WILL SETTLE WHEN COOLED. BAKE LONGER AND THEY WILL BE CRISP INSTEAD OF CHEWEY. MAKES ABOUT 2 DOZ.
