Fry bacon until crisp - remove and break into pieces. Add onions and mushrooms and cook until tender. Stir in flour and seasonings. Blend well and gradually add milk. Cook until smooth and thickened, stirring constantly. Add cooked peas and bacon.
Note: I usually use a small pkg. of fresh mushrooms.
Works fine to cook peas in microwave for the recommended time.
Remove skillet from heat for a few minutes while adding flour-seasonings-milk

Tip: New white tennis shoes will last longer if sprayed heavily with starch when you first get them.
