I am a retired preschool teacher who has come to appreciate and dearly miss, how children think. They may look like mini-adults but they are a separate entity in themselves, with a unique perspective on the world around us. It is a perspective that is often different from mine. Never-the-less it is a point of view that I have found interesting, sometimes very profound and always something that I have learned a great deal from.
Their words often mimic ours but their motivation for saying them is intrinsically different. I do believe it is the difference in the way we communicate and receive that communication that affords the mystery with which we view each other.
Parents and other significant grown-ups, kids are great once you get to know them!
...And...
Kids, parents and other grown-ups in your life really do care even when they are being so confusing your head wants to spin!
The question shouldn't be "What's in a name?" but rather, "Who said the name; how did they say it; and why did they say it?"
To this end I would like to devote my Web Page to the introduction of my two favorite kinds of people,
kids and grownups.
Grownups,(Parents and other significant grown up relatives), it gives me great pleasure to introduce you to our youth, be they; your daughter or son; nephew or niece; grand daughter or grand son; or the kid next door.
And vise versa, I'm sure!
