We are expecting our first baby around April 30th, so we are at the tail
end of the April Mommy Club. The fact that I'm pregnant is an utter
miracle. Brett had two battles with testicular cancer so we had to
freeze his sperm for when we wanted children. In 1996 we traveled to
St. Barnabus Med Ctr, New Jersey for fertility treatments. They have
the highest success rates in the country. We did a cycle of in vitro
fertilization where they actually insert one of his sperm into one of my
eggs. I had daily injections (sometimes up to 3 shots a day) to make me
produce many eggs and to keep my hormone levels up for a month. During
that first cylce I produced 24 eggs. We ended up with a chemical
pregnancy. We wanted a child so bad and were both so upset that that
pregnancy didn't make it that time.
That same year we got ourselves a little puppy - a six week old yellow
lab named Lady. She is almost 2 now and is super protective of me. She
was our first child.
In August of this year we decided to try for a baby again. This time I
produced 22 eggs and we ended up with four good embryos that they
transferred to my uterus on August 10th. Ten days later we found out
the good news - positive pregnancy test! That had to be one of the
happiest days of my life. God granted us with a true miracle and Brett
is cured from cancer. I treasure each day of my pregnancy and am so
excited to hold our baby in April.
Needless to say, I've been much distracted in regards to a career path.
I have my bachelors degree in English and eventually plan to teach high
school english after our child starts school. Brett works for Hershey
Foods as a distribution specialist. I love literature, classic rock
music, art, antique shopping and being with my family. Brett is
interested in investing, refinishing furniture and being outdoors.
Check back - I hope to get some pictures on here (if I can get the
scanner to work).
Hi everyone! I'm Tiffany and husband is Brett. I am 26 and Brett just
turned 30 (he hates when I say that). Brett and I met in 1993 and
married in October of 1995. I met him in his hometown in Arlington,
Texas, which is right between Dallas and Fort Worth. I am from Palmyra,
Pennsylvania - 5 minutes from Hershey, the sweetest place on earth.
