Bill is truly the most wonderful man I've ever met. If I had to pick
one word to describe him, it would have to be, "honorable." You don't
hear that word very much these days. People don't use it and very few
people can claim to be truly honorable. But, Bill is just that -- when
he says he will do something, he always does it -- no matter what he has
to give up to make it happen. When you ask him a question, you can
always expect the truth. He doesn't candy-coat his responses and he
never talks around the truth. He's the most unpretentious person I've
met and treats everyone (and I mean "everyone") equally. It doesn't
matter if you are the Queen of England or a homeless person on the
street -- everyone is treated with the same respect.
We are expecting our first (and probably only) child on April 9, 1999
and we are both really excited. We had always planned to not have
children, but after my older brother had his first child 2 years ago we
were hooked and decided to give it a try. We are having a boy and will
name him Michael Gerald. Michael was my dad's middle name (he passed
away when I was 2) and Gerald is Bill's dad's first name. Both families
seem pleased with our choice!
We already have four "furry" children who we love with all our hearts,
cats named (Bast, Midnight, Mani, and Sasha). Bast and Midnight are
sisters who were found abandoned as babies in someone's backyard. Mani,
we rescued from Animal Control in Seminole County (he was set to be
killed the next day), and Sasha I brought from Alaska with me -- she is
almost 15 years old.
I hope to add some pictures to this page very soon.
May the Lady and Lord bless you always,
God/dess Bless,
Hi, my name is Karla (34) and my husband is Bill (31). We moved to
Orlando, Florida 2 1/2 years ago after living our entire lives in
Anchorage, Alaska -- a HUGE, but wonderful change! Bill and I have been
married for almost 7 years. We met while working at the University of
Alaska Anchorage. Neither of us were interested in having a big (or
even small) wedding, so we grabbed a couple of friends and headed down
to the Alaska State Court House on our lunch hour one day to tie the
knot. Afterwards we stopped at our favorite coffee shop for lattes and
cookies, then went back to work! Not your traditional wedding story,
but it sure worked for us.
