J. W. and Sarah Mitchell, who moved from Aiken County, Ohio, when she as
a child and settled on the farm where she passed away Sunday. She

Mrs. Smith was found lying beside her bed Monday morning after having

Her entire life was lived in this vicinity, where she had a very large
number of relatives and acquaintances. Funeral services were held
at the family home on East Main Street Tuesday at 2:30 with Rev. Verne
Longenbaugh, pastor of the United Brethren church in charge. Interment
was made in the Oblong cemetery. ---------------------- Mrs. Amanda Dart,
who appears elsewhere in this paper was guardian over an unusual number
of descendants, with seven children living, all are located in
this county. Besides there are ninety-nine other descendants,
including thirty-four grandchildren, sixty-four great grandchildren, and
one great great grand child. This is a family of which the community
may be proud, since there are very few persons who can boast one-half that
many direct descendents.
