Nellie Hampsten, former resident dies, age 84
Nellie Hampsten, 84, of Hooker, Okla., formerly of Robinson, died
Saturday evening at her home of an apparent heart attack.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert, October 23,
1945. Also a daughter, Mary Scott in May, 1969, and a son, Harry,
in September 1969.
She is survived by one son, Lloyd, of Van Nuys, Calif., and four
daughters, Roby Wollis, Bentonville, Ark., Elma Hickox, Thelma Towner and
Effie Young, all of Hooker. Also a great-great-granddaughter, several
great-grandchildren and several grandchildren, five of whom reside in Robinson.
They are Charles, Elvis and Doyt Young. Also Mrs. Burlin (Wanda)
Brewster and Mrs. Jesse (Lavon) Smith.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Church
of Christ in Hooker. Roberts Brothers Funeral Home will be in charge,
with burial in Hooker Cemetery.
