Testing Flickr Slide Show
Downtown Demolition Flickr Slideshow

I manage to create [NOTHING! IT DIDN'T WORK HERE!] after being tipped off from Carole's latest Blast entry!
But take heart Yahoo minions!
This didn't work at MySpace, either!
I was however able to make great use of it at our Yahoo City of Beloit Club home page on Yahoo! Groups and on the Beloit Portal page... so it was still nice to hear about this.Image

It doesn't work on 360 or MySpace.

It works on "normal" web pages and Yahoo Groups Home pages though. (Because they allow you to use an iFrame.)

Click and follow the links in my blog for more info and instructions.

For some reason the slideshow isn't working in Firefox 1.5.0.9 now. Don't know why. Maybe I'll have to upgrade to FF2?

I am so lost. I have wanted to use a slide show format for my groups home page forever now . How do you do it? I loaded some pics to flickr but how do I now get it to my groups page? I read lots of things on flickr but I must be missing something.
Thanks!

To find out what code is used to put a slide show on our City of Beloit Club's home page, send a blank email to:

cityofbeloit-help@yahoogroups.com

You can send a blank email to ANY group's -HELP address and the reply you get back will have that group's description in it, including all the HTML used in it.

Follow the LINK in the last sentense of my original post above to see how this is done - that's the part in red where it says "the link explaining how to do this."

A Flickr account with keywords or tags, some knowledge of HTML, as well as how to copy and paste with a PC is also required.

You can use a User ID, a Set ID, a Group ID and other things, but you can only use ONE at a time!

In the URL above you have both a Set_ID and a User_ID. You need to re-examine the instructions to see where you're going wrong.

@Pheno - Your iFrame code is a little off... the frame is not enclosing the slideshow properly. I think you need to examine how you're defining it. IIRC, Flickr locks in at 500 pixels wide... you have to work with it, you can't change it.

Tell me something... can you get a photobucket slideshow to work on "groups" home pages?

I wouldn't know, I don't do photobucket. I didn't even know they had slideshow! (Too many ads, too many bandwidth restrictions, and too expensive to remove the junk.)
