PC's Current Desktop Wallpaper
photo

Seen above is a screen shot of my PC's current desktop w/ wallpaper. It's fall and it's harvest time.

It's based on a cropped version of this photo:

Harvest Time

And this photo is one I've repeatedly tried to capture in the course of many trips to downtown Beloit's Saturday morning Farmer's Market.

Well... first you take a screen shot of your Windows desktop. You do that by:

1 - Press "Prt Scr" button on your keyboard.
2 - Open the image editor or viewer of your choice. If you have a digital camera (and who doesn't these days?), surely you have such an editor on your PC! If you need to find a decent one, check out irfanview.com for a nice FREE viewer/converter/creator or use Window's built-in piece of junk - Paint.
3 - Paste the screen shot into the image editor. (Menu bar - Edit - Paste.)
4 - Save the screen shot desktop as a .JPG file using the Menu bar - File - Save As - option. (Personally, I resize to 600 Pixels wide first THEN save it.)
5 - To show in your blog, just upload it when editing your blog entry.

Now... to add the original photo from Flickr, see my blog highlights in right column for an entry about doing just that.
