. . . to our premier issue! Heart, Mind, and Soul is dedicated to our readers; please send contributions, offer suggestions, and voice complaints, although we hope you do not have too many of those! We hope this newsletter will provide help, support, and ideas for your daily challenges as a home educator.

We have gathered a diverse group of writers to their tips and techniques. If you have ideas for future topics, columns, or article submissions, do not hesitate to write.

We also welcome student contributions and are looking especially for informative pieces. Biographies of famous people such as Shakespeare, a Saint, etc. are appreciated. We can also publish opinion pieces that are thoughtfully reasoned.

David and I have three children: Philip, 10; Grace, 6; and Emily, 4. Our main objective is to provide a solid Catholic education for our children. Our program of study has been influenced by the ideals of Classical education. We are beginning our seventh year of homeschooling.

Cindy and her husband Ron are the parents of Ashley, 12, and Drew, 10. They are beginning their seventh year of homeschooling. Family life centers around their parish. They built their house on land that has been in the family for three generations and are busy planting a fruit orchard for future generations.
