Sudie Ann was the youngest child of William and Mary C. Key's eight children.  She was a red head, with blue eyes.  and reported to have a temper.  Her red hair gene has passed through each generation, down to her great, great, great grandson Devin.

Sudie and Jim had 5 children, all born in Paris, Lemar, Texas:

Sudie and Jim moved their family to Sanger in about 1930, while Jim worked at various jobs in the county, Sudie ran a home laundry to supplement the family income.
