Littleberry was born in Williamson County, TN, near the Leiper Fork's community on Bear Creek, Jan. 27, 1817. He and his brother William were the only 2 of John P & Lucy's children to born in Tennessee. The two brothers were noted chairmaker's in Williamson County around 1850. They are discribed as such in 2 books by Richard Warwick " Leiper's Fork and Surrounding Communities " and " A Century of Chairmakers, 1850 - 1950 "
Married 3 times, Littleberry's first wife, Rebecca Thompson, was the daughter of James Thompson and Sarah Goodwin. Rebecca was born on Jan.7, 1820 and died Aug. 31, 1842 at the age of 22. Rebecca is buried in the Thompson - Powell Cemetery on Lick Creek., Williamson Co., TN. Rebecca and Littleberry were married on July 18, 1839 in Williamson Co. and had one child, a son, John Pitts Beasley b. Oct. 11, 1840.
His second marriage to Marcharina Thurman produced no children. Marcharina was born July 12, 1830, married Littleberry, Nov. 21, 1853 and died Aug. 12, 1853 at the age of 23. She's buried in the Beasley Cemetery in the 3rd district on Bear Creek Road.
Margaret Etta Pugh, wife # 3, and from whom I descend was the daughter of Joel Pugh and Prudence Melissa Nicks. She was born Oct. 11, 1827 in Dunlap, Hickman, TN. and died July 23, 1898 in Lyles, Hickman, TN. and is buried near Shady Grove. Littleberry and Margaret were married about 1854 in Hickman Co., TN and had seven children:
