                                 This is to certify that we - B.K Stewart, Henry Burton & Benjamine F. Butler by special request of the Church of Hebron in Jackson County, Tennessee on this 13th day of December 1834, did attend at the said Hebron Church of Christ at which time & place we, the said Elders, did attend and concurred by the imposition of hands did set in part and ordain Joel Henley as minister of the Gospel and authorize him, the said Joel Henley, to officiate in all the priviledges of a minister of the gospel in baptising all those ( honorary ?) apply to him and adminestoring the Lord's Supper and every other priviledge belonging said ordination not forbidden by the laws of this state and whit-- ? ) ( ---- ?) with rules of the United Baptist Church of Christ, given under our hands & seals the day and date as first above written.
