Words for the Soul
When it is the darkest, you can see the stars. Keep the eternal perspective.
What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.
Self-esteem is the reputation we acquire within ourselves.
And what is it to work with love?
No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.
People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care.
By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
What you focus on determines what you miss.
Decisions are like switchpoints on a railroad track. They determine where you will end up in life.
If we are strong, our character will speak for itself. If we are weak, words will be of no help.
I WILL DO MORE
Our lives are made up of thousands of everyday choices. Over the years these little choices will be bundled together and show clearly what we value....
We may foolishly bring unhappiness and trouble, even suffering, upon ourselves. These are not always to be regarded as penalties imposed by a displeased Creator. They are part of the lessons of life, part of the test.
Everybody can be great...because anybody can serve. You only need a heart full of grace . A soul generated by love.
It is only with the heart than one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.
Who you are speaks so loudly, I can't hear what you're saying.
People who say it cannot be done should not interrupt those who are doing it.
Charity sees the need...not the cause.
A Creed For Those Who Have Suffered
Life is eternal and love is immortal; death is only a horizon. And a horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight.
Rather fail by honor than succeed by fraud.
THE CHALLENGE
The meaning of things lies not in the things themselves, but in our attitude towards them.
Pain in life is inevitable. Suffering is optional.
When it is dark enough, you can see the stars. Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.
Alas, even when you and I do place something on the altar, we sometimes hang around as if waiting for a receipt.
It may not always be easy, convenient, or politically correct to stand for truth and right, but it is always the right thing to do. Always.
Do what's right and try to get along with people, in that order.
Friendships multiply joy and divide grief.
A person who sows seed of kindness enjoys a perpetual harvest.
No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.
Do not be afraid to go out on a limb...That's where the fruit is.

It is to weave the cloth with threads drawn from your heart, even as if your beloved were to wear that cloth.
It is to build a house with affection, even as if your beloved were to dwell in that house.
It is to sow seeds with tenderness and reap the harvest with joy, even as if your beloved were to eat the fruit.
Work is love made visible.

I am only one, but I am one.
I cannot do everything, but I can do something.
And what I can do, I ought to do.
And what I ought to do, by the grace of God, I will do.
I will do more than belong...I will participate.
I will do more than care...I will help.
I will do more than believe...I will practice.
I will do more than be fair...I will be kind.
I will do more than dream...I will work.
I will do more than teach...I will inspire.
I will do more than earn...I will enrich.
I will do more than give...I will serve.
I will do more than live...I will grow.
I will do more than talk...I will act.
I will be more than good...I will be good for something.

German proverb
I asked God for strength, that I might achieve.
I was made weak, that I might learn humbly to obey...
I asked for health, that I might do great things.
I was given infirmity, that I might do better things...
I asked for riches, that I might be happy.
I was given poverty, that I might be wise...
I asked for power, that I might have the praise of men.
I was given weakness, that I might feel the need for God.
I asked for all things, that I might enjoy life.
I was given life, that I might enjoy all things.
I got nothing I asked for---but everything I'd hoped for.
Almost despite myself, my unspoken prayers were answered.
I am mostly richly blessed.

I challenge you to DRINK, STEAL, SWEAR and LIE.
DRINK from the fountain of truth; knowledge and wisdom constantly flow in our libraries and schools.
STEAL a little time each day to do something special for someone when you know you won't get the credit.
SWEAR to make this the best day of your life so far. It may be your last.
When you LIE down tonight, thank God that you are free and have the ability to dream mighty dreams and make them come true!
