(**According to Greenock Registrar's lookups, Janet's parents are shown to be John Spence and Margaret Beaton nee Leslie. Further information will be needed to see if there maybe 2 families with Janet's.) Witness' to the marriage were Lachlan Beaton and Lily Spence.
