--The ocean, specifically jellyfish. This will include different sea animals, their lives, habitats, eating habits, length of life, endangered status, ect. Also sea "creatures", plants, topography, ect. This will also break down into other studies such as percentage of earth covered by water, the names of the seas and oceans, eventually leading to fresh water lakes at which point we will study those in depth as well.
--Heros--to encompass all subjects, include
real life heros such as police, coast guard, firemen, as well as biblical
heros, and other definitions of hero.
--Our Family--we will study our family starting with our immediate family, branching outwards. This study will include all of our grandparents, and aunts and uncles, cousins, and everyone else we are in any way related to! (who can look forward to getting letters from Brandon requesting something special for his own family scrapbook!). We will be creating a "living" family tree on a wall in our house complete with pictures and fun facts. (I gotta tell ya'll--what an amazing thing for a six year old to be interested in!!! How exciting to learn about this!! =o)
