Paul served with the infantry at Fort George Wright for a time between
World War I and II. He also set up one of the first shortwave radio stations
in Spokane and later was active in various radio shops. He also was a long
time member of The Elks Club in Spokane, Washington. He was the
manager of the three United Rent-All stores in Spokane and the valley
and a resident of the area since 1919.
