2002 Season:
Minnesota Mooses
The 2002 season is still ongoing. In the American League, the newly renamed Minnesota Puffins continue their downward slide toward a good draft pick. We have sole possession of last place, following injuries to Pedro Martinez, Nomar Garciaparra, Albert Belle, and David Wells. All except Belle have recovered this year, so the 2003 season is looking brighter.
UP Paper Tigers
In the National League,
The season is now over. The Paper Tigers were relegated to the role of mop-up after briefly challenging the St Louis Cardinals for the NL crown. But St Louis was too good and the lack of right-handed batting strength exposed a weakness in our hitting. They are in 2nd place pending the completion of the other teams' schedules. They could fall to 3rd place.
