February 2002 Newsletter

Dear Brother Knights,

Happy Mardi Gras

         1. Check your Calendar - Be sure to note the time of our meetings for this month due to Mardi Gras.

         2. Mardi Gras - Remember be careful during the Mardi Gras parades and watch out for young children.

         3. Monthly Officer's Meeting - KC Officer's Meeting will be on Monday, February 4, 2002 7:00. Please note change due to Mardi Gras.

         4. Monthly Meeting - KC Business Meeting will be on Tuesday, February 5, 2002 6:30 PM Meal. Please note change due to Mardi Gras.

         5. KC Monthly Mass - Our KC Monthly Mass will be held at 8 AM on February 10, 2001 at St. Bernadette Church.

         6. Ash Wednesday - Remember that Wednesday, February 13th is Ash Wednesday. Check your Church bulletins for church services.

         7. Rosary - We will have the Rosary on the third Friday of the month, February 15th.

         8. Monthly Social - KC & KayCee Auxiliary Social this month will be Tuesday, February 19, 2001 7 PM.

         9. Council Bowling Teams - All Bowling Team members are reminded not to forget there bowling schedule. This month it will be held at 4 PM February 24, 2002 at Bowl South. Please note change due to Mardi Gras.

        10. Knight & Family of the Month - Knight of the Month for the month of December is Ryan Orillion and Family of the Month for the month of December is Fernand & Liz Vial.

        11. Altar Servers of the Month & Year - Altar Servers of the Month for the month of November is Evin Heggart and Altar Servers of the Month for the month of December is Katie Thibodaux. Altar Servers of the Year is Melissa Williams.

        12. Blood Drive - Please don’t forget that we have our account with the Blood Bank at Terrebonne General Medical Center. When you pass by the Hospital please stop and donate along with your friends, just mention Council 7355. On Tuesday the Blood Bank is open late 3:30 to 5:30 by appointment only.

        13. Dues-Dues-Dues - Please remember that dues for 2002 are now due. If you haven’t paid your 2001 dues as of yet they are included in your billing statement.

        14. Address Change - Please remember that when you change you address let the Financial Secretary know, you can call him at (985)872-5580 and leave it on his answering machine.

        15. Hall Rental - If you would like to rent the hall, contact John Bergeron at 868-0350 for all your party needs.

        16. In Memoriam - Let remember in our prayers Msgr. John Webber who passed away in the month of February. Lets pray for all Brother Knights who are ill and all their family.

        17. Council Insurance agent - Vincent Melvin P.O. Box 1167 Larose, La. 70373 Phone 985 325-2719, contact him for all your Insurance needs.

        18. Council General Agent - Our Council Insurance General Agent is Anatole "Butch" Tastet in Lockport. His phone numbers are 532-8221 Office and 532-5636 Residence.

        19. Free Eye Exam - Dr. Delahoussaye will give each Knight and wives a free eye check at there office. Just say you are from the Council.

        20. KC Newsletter - If you have anything you want to put in the newsletter, I must have all information by the 20th of the month, as that will be the cut off date. We need to do this to get your copy in time before the first of the month.
