This is Meana. Meana is an old cat (DOB April 14th 1985) and a very heavy cat. Meana's name is somewhat unique. The name was that of another cat which appeared in old french Acadian reading books. Also many years, before Meana was born, his family once cared for another cat. That cat, whose name was also Meana, was such a great cat, that they honored him with this name. So actually, Meana is know as Meana II.... confused?
Meana is known for his bad attitude and evil ways. Also, because he has no claws, he likes to bite... and hard! No one is spared! Currently, Meana is a confirmed bachelor and is happy with his 19 and 1/2 pounds condition. Meana is a resident of Blacks Harbour, New Brunswick Canada. It is this small village that is famous for being the location of the Connors Brother Ltd., the world's largest sardine fish processing plant. Fish, cat's love fish! He enjoys lying in the sun and sleeping and his favorite food (besides everything!) is cheese sticks and cereal (Cheerios). He also likes Lasagna, but he sometimes eats too much and won't feel so well. Though he is very fat, he still can catch mice, proven he is still a good hunter. Meana once enjoyed spending his days in his owner's '73 Volkswagen Westphalia Camper and still misses napping on the camper's soft, furry seats. And Meana is sort of a local star, he was once made a guest star appearance on a community channel television program.
Meana is a large, tabby with a mixture of colors. Meana is mainly a house cat but voyages outside on nice days. When Meana's parents are not home, he sometime will stay in his large cage. That's right, a cage! This may seem cruel, but Meana doesn't stay in the cage all the time. This is a way of giving Meana protection from the wild animals that live around his house. Animals such as coyote, foxes and raccoons. One thing a fat cat can not do well is run. So don't put your fingers in the cage! He has gone through some though trips to the local vet. He has had kidney stone problems twice and once had a "bum" rear leg. Not to mention his claw or knives removal and his sexual alteration, but he is fine now and still acts like a energetic kitten at times.... thanks to the Mayfield Veterinarian Clinic in St. Stephen, NB.
Some of Meana's nicknames are "Mimi", "Meanie", "Miccar", "Mickey", and "Dee dee". But he has been called some nasty names when he bits someone to get his dinner.

Meana recently broke his 4 mice record. Now, he has caught 5 mice in one day! He may be fat but he is still a good hunter!
