The <FONT> tags are either used to change the font in a specific section of the page or to set the font for the entire page. You want to be careful with using this, because someone can only see what their computer contains on it, so if you give your entire page some funky font, chances are that 99% of your viewers aren't going to be able to see it the way you had intended. It doesn't mean that they won't see it at all - their browser will just display it in whatever the default font is set to.
