LAST ISSUE?

Is this the last monthly issue? It could very well be so. As most of you Keidel family members know by now, I have started a Keidel Family site on MyFamily.com and it’s working extremely well. Many of you have already visited there and posted items about your families. This site is truly becoming member-driven, which is what I have wanted for The Keidel Update all along. The only drawback, if that is one, is that one needs to be "invited" to visit the site and receive a password to access the features. This is fine, but leaves family friends out "in the cold" as it were. So, if you have any special friends who really want to see what is going on with our family, invite them and make them honorary family members! If any of you would like to have access to the family site, please e-mail me and I’ll arrange it. So, it is possible that I will cease publishing monthly editions of this newsletter. There should still be special editions from time to time. There is yet another site which you should visit. My Public Room Here you can rummage through my filing cabinet in my Public Room. LOTS of pictures there and usually the latest roll of film I took. Be sure to click on the "radio buttons" to the left of the file names to see the info.

Breezy is Three!

At least that what you get when you count up the anniversaries of her birthday! Bryanna "Breezy" Elizabeth Hudman V1641-31 was born February 29, 1988 in San Diego, California. That date will roll around for the third time, this month! So yes, she is really 12 years old, but will have had only four (if you count the day she was born) Birth Days! Oh, she got the puppy "Buzz" for Christmas.

Barbie has Baby!

HE was born at 10:10 pm, on Monday, January 17, 2000, weighed 7 lbs. 8 ozs. and was 20 1/2 inches long - he is: Nolan Bryce Reittenbach D1331-3

The gorgeous Barbie doesn’t have a lot of photos floating around out there, so I’ll have to make do with this old one from 1994. I had the pleasure of meeting her that year during a visit to Michigan with my sons Armin and Willy. Post some new pictures, Barbie!!

SNOW!

Of course now that we are living in upstate New York, we have to deal with the expected snow! Oh yeah, Willy is getting LOTS of exercise!

This is the view across the road.

Just a little more and my driveway markers will disappear.

Just a little more and my rust-bucket '86 Celebrity will disappear!

Willy tries in vain to clear the driveway! Actually, my neighbor Russ Heesh, whom I had NEVER MET BEFORE, came up the night of a BIG storm and toiled for over an hour in the VERY COLD and plowed us out beautifully. Had it not been for him, we would have been unable to shop for groceries, etc. THANKS, NEIGHBOR! As I said before in a previous issue, we love it here! We definitely made the right move!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY wishes to good friend and oft host George Lewis Keidel, Jr. in Maryland. To mother and daughter Eudene (King) Keidel and Ruth Eudene (Keidel) Clemens. They share the same date, albeit many years apart. Ruth lives in Maryland and Mom is visiting right now in Florida; isn’t that a wise move! And OF COURSE a very special Happy Birthday to Breezy! Enjoy it, it’ll be four years before you will have another!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to Barbie and Patrick Reittenbach in Michigan!

Here’s Barbie again in 1994

From the Archives:

No, that is not some very old ancestor from the Imperial Court in St. Petersburg! It is I, dressed for my role as Inspector General of Police Ernst Hessler in the stage play Frankenstein. Yes, the beard is real! I performed on stage and was on the Board of Directors of the now defunct Broome County Civic Theater in Binghamton, NY, back in 1978!

In closing, let me entreat you once more to visit my cyber enterprise. CLICK THIS! You’ll find lots of interesting informational publications suitable as gifts and even a way to "clone" this store so you can run one for yourself!
