This should lay to rest, forever, the myth of the ugly harridan ex-wife! How many men have you met who bent your ear forever with stories of how ugly and despicable their ex-wives were? I sometimes ask them why they would have wanted to marry such a nasty person to begin with! Clearly, this was not the case with me.

Mary Jane and I met in New Jersey, after my first tour of duty in the US Army and an excursion to the 1967 "Summer of Love" in Haight-Ashbury. We hit it off well and eventually married and had a daughter - Heidi. We stayed together for 10 years, after which it became evident that both of us saw our future differently. We had a VERY amicable divorce, after which I returned to active military duty and went off to the Far East. Mary Jane stayed in the Binghamton, New York area, re-married and raised not only our daughter Heidi but also her son with her new husband Tom. Mary Jane continues to be a very dear friend. After all, we have two grandchildren together! These pictures will take you through our courtship, wedding, family times, and right up to the present.
