This is our official wedding picture.
This Kim Ha Yo as she looked in 1980, when I met her. She was born on the third day of the fourth month in 1956 in Jeonra Namdo province. No, it is not the 3rd of April! This date is according to the lunar calendar and can fall anywhere in three different months, depending on the year. When the Americans translated her family register, they fixed the date as April 4, 1955. We generally celebrate her birthday on the proper lunar day, each year.
These are pictures how we looked together, then; she in one of the stores where she worked; and the two of us, with my Best Man, Colonel Paul Davidson, on the steps of Seoul City Hall.
Here we are in the US, as her hair gradually becomes shorter and mine becomes longer!
YES, we are aging!-----------------and it SUCKS!
