Marriage Record

Know all men by these presence that we John Kutch and Jacob Holderman are held and firmly bound 
unto his Excellency Christo Greenup Esq. Governor of this Commonwealth and to his successors in 
office in the sum of £50 current money for the payment of which will hereby to be made. We bind 
ourselves and each of our heirs jointly and severally firmly by these presence sealed with our 
seals dated this 1st day of May 1807.

     The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas there has a license issued from 
the clerks office for a marriage intended between the above bound John Kutch and Elizabeth McKane 
now should there be no legal cause to obstruct (the aforementioned?) marriage then the obligation 
to be now.
