The Last Will and Testament of John Kutch The State of Indiana Monroe County 3 S.S. I John Kutch of Harrodsburg in Monroe County and State of Indiana being of sound mind and disposing memory and considering the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life do make this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills made by me at any time. (First) I humbly commend myself to God who gave me existance and that my body be decently buried in a manner suitable to my situation in life and that my funeral expenses be paid out of the first monies, that comes into the hands of my executor: I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Mary if she should survive me Lots no.s Nine, Ten and Eleven in Susterlands (?) addition to the town of Harrodsburg during her natural life provided she remains a widow. I also bequeath to my wife all my household and kitchen furniture except one bedsted and bedding also one hundred dollars in cash to be paid to her as soon as it comes into the hands of my executor. I also direct that one thousand dollars of my estate be loaned at ten pr cent interest and that interest to be paid to my wife semi-annually during her natural life or widowhood, my executor to have the loaning of said money and pay the interest to my wife and at the death or marriage of my wife revert back to my lawful heirs the one thousand to be paid at interest as soon after my decease as possible all my personal property not named above. I desire that my executor shall dispose of in the best way known to himself. I also direct that my real estate if I should have any at my death to be disposed of as follows to wit: The farm I direct that my executor shall sell at public or private sale at any time within two years provided it will sell for twenty dollars per acre and if it does not sell for that amount per acre within that time then to be disposed of in the best way that my executor shall think best. I also direct that after my executor has disposed of my real and personal estate as above directed and fulfilled the fore-going provisions of this will that he shall as fast as the money comes into his hands divided it equally between my children to wit: Wm. Kutch, Alfred Kutch, Nelson Kutch, Tilford Kutch, the children of Finley Kutch to have their father's share, the children of Caroline Wright, wife of David Wright to have their mother's share, the children of Orpha Storm, wife of Alfred Storm to have their mother's share, also my granddaughter, America Jane Henderson daughter of my daughter, America J. Henderson if she should live to the age twenty-one years. She is to have her mother's share. If she should not live to that age or have children then her portion to revert back to my estate and be divided as before directed. I hereby appoint my son, Alfred L.
