Slewpie passed away early on September 1, 1998.
Her Valiant but failing heart finally gave out on her.
She now runs with joy and breathes with ease while she waits at Rainbow Bridge

Slewpie's surgery was performed by Dr. Rene Van Eee at Sheridan Animal Clinic
in suburban Buffalo, N.Y. The surgery was a success; her death 5 months later
was due to her other medical probems. The LP surgery allowed her to live
her last months without the added indignity of gasping for breath.
RAINBOW BRIDGE

Just this side of Heaven is a wonderful place called RAINBOW BRIDGE.
When a beloved pet dies, it goes to wait for us at RAINBOW BRIDGE.
There are meadows and hills for all our special friends so they
can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine.
Our dear friends are warm and comfortable,
All the animals who have been ill and were old are restored tohealth and vigor,
Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again
just as we remember them in our dreams gone by.
Our beloved friends are happy and content......
except for one small thing....
They each miss someone special to them...
Someone who has been left behind.
They all run and play together until the day when one suddenly stops
and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent, suddenly he begins
to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs
carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted.
When you and your special friend meet you cling together in joyous reunion,
NEVER to be parted again.
The happy kisses rain upon your face, your hands caress the beloved head
and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your dear pet, so long gone
from your life but never absent from your heart.....
Then you cross RAINBOW BRIDGE and enter Heaven together.
