Knights can't keep Eagles away long enough

Region 12 Grantsville-St. Joseph

At St. Joseph High, the Cowboys shot down the Jayhawks, 11-15, 15-4, 15-4.

"We made them work for every point they got," St. Joseph coach Ray Franklin said. "Our kids hustled; there was a sense of urgency. We had three seniors playing their last home match, so we were out for blood."

The Jayhawks' Shanna Scherbinske had three kills, three solo blocks and nine digs; setter Sami Evans had four assists and two kills, and Mary Dinsdale had four kills and three solo blocks.

St. Joseph, 3-20 overall, went 0-8 in league play.
