Ferret Adoptions

~---------------------------------------------------------~

Ferret PAWS (NZ) Inc operates a ferret adoption service for ferrets that have been lost, abandoned, or donated. All ferrets are veterinarian checked, vaccinated and desexed. Ferrets are only placed with approved adoptees, and the ferret adoption process is the subject of policies, procedures and rules intended to ensure the long term welfare of the ferret. Prospective adoptees should be aware of the rules further down this page before committing themselves to a ferret.

We usually have a large number of ferrets available for adoption in both Auckland and Wellington. If you live outside of these areas we may still be able to arrange an adoption.
(Please note that we are not able to adopt ferrets to locations outside of New Zealand.)

If you may be interested in adopting a pre-loved fuzzy, please contact
Ferret PAWS: e-mail ferretpaws@hotmail.com

LOST AND FOUND FERRETS:

We also operate a ferret adoption service for lost, abandoned and surrendered ferrets in New Zealand. Any ferrets found in the Auckland area will be collected free of charge and cared for. Ferrets will be kept for a minimum of two weeks while an attempt is made to locate their owners, after which they may be placed. All ferrets are checked by a veterinary surgeon, and are vaccinated and desexed as required whilst in Ferret PAWS care. This is a non-profit service operated entirely by volunteers, so any contributions of ferret bedding, food or cages will be gratefully accepted. For details of lost and found ferrets, or to report a lost or a found ferret, contact Ferret PAWS (details above).
