Why is a Warranty Important? It is important that you read and understand your dog's sales agreement prior to purchasing. Make sure that you understand and agree with the terms BEFORE a problem arises! We feel that it is critical that all schnauzers be warrantied for serious inherited health defects. Such a guarantee must last for a minimum of 5 years to be of ANY value-as a defect may not show up until the dog is 3-5 years old. A 1-2 year warranty means nothing to the buyer, as it is meant to expire before the common defects in this breed will show up. So, no matter how reputable the breeder looks, please do not waste your time and money on a puppy with a misrepresenting health warranty! We recommend that you use a kennel's health warranty as a measurement of how reputable they are. No amount of "fancy talk" can make up for a kennel that does not stand behind their dogs! |

Our Contracts: We sell schnauzers on 2 types of contracts, either show/breeding or pet quality. All pet quality dogs may be neutered prior to sale or must be neutered by their new owners. They are sold on limited registration papers (a non-breeding agreement) as we feel they are not the best representatives of the breed and should not reproduce. These dogs often have minor defects (such as being 1/4" too tall, a misaligned bite, or imperfect body proportions) that in no way affect the dog's ability to function as a pet. However, these animals have a first rate upbringings and pedigrees, and like all well bred schnauzers, have an air of class about them. All show and breeding quality animals are sold without breeding rights until they have finished their championships. These animals are older, and may have been shown to their Canadian titles prior to sale. An example of the Show and breeding sales contract is linked here for you to see. |
