MechWarrior II

31st Century Combat

Welcome to Clan Evander. Your source for MechWarrior II, the ultimate battle simulator. MechWarror II is made by Activision. If you are perhaps looking for a more complete source than my small, pitiful tribute, then check out the MechWarrior II Infopage.

Now that my links have been said, lets talk about MechWarrior II. I have played for Clan Falcon, Clan Wolf, and Clan Ghost Bear. All three scenario's kept me riveted to the computer screen for weeks at a time.

One thing I did in preparation for this game is buy a Microsoft Sidewinder Pro. If you have anything less, then you are missing out! This joystick provides for four axis of movement! It contains the standard X and Y axis, plus a Z axis for torso twists, and a throttle slider to control speed. It also contains a hat, and eight firing buttons! With this joystick, I never had to touch the keyboard to disrupt my gaming enjoyment.

Are you having problems with MechWarrior II? The best tips I can give you came from Computer Gaming World. Load your mechs up with lots of missiles, preferably LRM 10s or LRM 15s. Either one of these, as a full salvo, can take out all but the most persistant of mechs. Simply target a mech, usually between 800 and 900 meters away, and launch four banks of missiles. I load a Mad Dog with 4 banks of LRM 10s, and 3 tons of ammo a piece. I will load a Timber Wolf with 4 banks of LRM 15s and 4 tons of ammo a piece. I have never run out of missiles, and I usually find little to no resistance!

As I said, I don't have much to offer at the moment, but please feel free to write me if you have any questions, comments, concerns, or maybe even to play a game head to head!!! I would be more than happy to return your mail. Send me some E-Mail.
