A couple of things have happened by the time this picture was taken. First off, using an xacto knife, peel the tape for your graphic images. In our example, we peeled all the lines and sprayed them a green fading into yellow, fading into red. The pattern should be uniform around the car. For instance, the wing goes Red, Yellow, Green, from left to right. The passenger side of the car goes Green, Yellow, then Red.. The hood then follows suit by going Red, Yellow, Green, from right to left, and so on. There is no easy way to spray these coats lightly since the colors will over lap. Start by painting your lightest color first, in a single broad stroke down the center of the image, and then paint your darker colors so they appear to fade in on the sides. Of course it would be ideal to have an airbrush to do this, but the average person only has access to spray cans. (Yes, this car was entirely painted, graphics and all, with el-cheapo spray cans!)
Once you have allowed the paint to dry, start taking your window masks off, also with an xacto knife to peel up the edges. Your car body is now beginning to take some serious shape, but the most important step is next!
