Why do I love you?
I could never count the ways.
You are the world to me,
And with you I have so many happy days.
You are filling the void in my heart,
By giving me joy untold.
You're making my life so pleasant,
As the rest of my days unfold.
You filled my life with joy and love again,
Without mother I thought would never be.
But you took over her caring ways,
And for this I love you, as you love me.
I wait each day for you to visit.
To hear your sweet and caring voice,
For in my grief and sadness,
You take them all away and I rejoice.
I love you for just being you,
But then for all the other things you do.
Makes loving you a joy untold,
For you make my life anew.
You show your love in so many ways.
I could never count them all.
I'm so happy I am your father.
You make my worries so very small.
Thank you my lovely, loving child,
For being there for me.
God put His light in you,
For all your loving goodness, for me to see.
