A PRAYER FOR HELP
I strolled into a chapel,
That stood beside the road,
And knelt before the altar,
That supported our Lords abode.
Looking up at the image of Christ,
I asked in silence to speak to God.
It seemed to me in meditation,
That His bleeding head gave a little nod.
So with all my worldly adoration,
I asked our God above,
To lend His ear to this sinner,
As He would to a wounded dove.
I'm not at all what You want me to be,
For here in life I so do falter,
But please forgive me Gracious Lord,
As I lay all my sins at Your altar.
Think not of me as only a sinner,
But help me on my way,
To heaven that I want so dearly,
So to be with You always - I pray.
Amen..
