To my Great Grandchildren
From your Great Grandfather Willson
"Old Les In Time"
I know that you don't really know me now
but some day when you are older
your Grandmother or your Mother
can tell you all about me and your
Great Grandmother, Una Marie Scobee Willson.
You are our Great Grand Grandchildren,
so you will always hold a great distinction
in the Willson family.
This does not mean that the Willson family
had any thing to be distinguished for,
except the LOVE we all had for each other,
and that is something to be very proud of.
True love is the only thing
that anyone has to give away freely
and with their whole heart
without costing them anything.
IT IS FREE.
My dear beloved Great Grand Children,
you will have all the undying love
of your Great Grandmother and Great Grandfather
that we can bestow upon you.
This is our legacy to you.
This may not seem a great deal to you
in your younger years
but as you grow older you can look up to heaven
and know that there is always someone up there
watching over you and we will be praying
that you are having a happy life here on earth
and that someday
you too can share the happy life we are having.
For I believe all souls go back to heaven.
I know that this is too deep
for you to understand now
but I am going to ask your Mother
or Grandmother
to put this letter in a safe place
so you can read it later in your life
long after I am gone from this earth.
Your Grandmothers were our children.
Annette (Aunt Annie) was our 1st child,
Mary Christine (Aunt Tina) was our 2nd child,
Leslie Moore,(Uncle Bussie)
our third child was a twin
(Larry his brother, was our 4th child who died at birth),
Jadienne Ellen (Aunt Jay)
was our fifth child
and Tammy Jo (Aunt Tammy), our last.
These are your great aunts and uncle.
I know that your Grandmother or your Mother
will fill you in on all
the family Willson history.
I am so sorry
that your Great Grandmother
never got to see any of you
but she died before you were born,
but your Grandmothers have made sure
that I have lots of pictures of you all,
and I have gotten to hold each of you in my arms many times.
I am 84 years young
and I enjoy this blessing
that fills my life with joy.
Now, as for each of your Grandmothers,
who were and are still
our pride and joy,
I am sure that each of you
are her inspiration for life,
for you are the only ones
she can talk about,
which I can't blame her.
Your Grandmothers have a heart of gold
and they love you as I love them.
They will never guide you
in any way that is not good.
So please let them show you
the ropes of life
and they will always be the ties
that will pull all the good things your way.
On the other hand,
i f you listen to unwise teachers
those ropes will bind you for life.
This letter is being written to you
with all the love I can give to you.
It is being sent to you as an insight
of some of the wisdom
I have acquired
through out a life time.
I am not an intelligent man,
that is from books persay,
but strictly from the love of my family
and the teachings of experience and life.
I know that some day
you will be far more intelligent than I am
but don't let intellgence
get in the way of love, truth and honesty.
MAY THE GOOD LORD
BLESS YOU AND KEEP YOU ALWAYS
IN THE PALM OF HIS HAND
AND MAY YOU ALWAYS RETURN HIS LOVE.
With all my love for ever
Your Old Great Grand Father
