LET ME SLEEP FOREVER

Oh Let Me Sleep Forever,

So I can dream that my dreams come true.

For I see you standing before me,

In the bright green grass, laden with dew.

 

You come to me out of nowhere,

With an aura of brilliant pink and blue.

The radience of your being is astounding,

And our love for each other is so true.

 

I can see your soft hands caressing my cheek,

And you place your pink lips upon mine.

We hold each other so tenderly,

And this moment is heaven sublime.

 

Oh let me sleep the eternal sleep,

So my dreams will never come to an end.

Let me lay by your side forever,

And dream the impossible dream that you send.

 

Let me dream of the hereafter,

Where you and I will still be just one.

For our souls are entwined forever,

Oh but my life goes on with each rising sun.

 

The hours pass by so quickly,

And my dreams pass on with the time.

Now my dreams will only be memories,

In my feeble way of writing this rhyme.
