At this time we have three cats. Two girls and a little boy. They each have their own unique personalities. I talk about them just about as much as I talk about my kids! So, I am happy to be able to share them here on my website! If you have any pet stories or questions or need advice on any kind of animal, please visit my message board and post them there. Just click on the words PET LOVER'S MESSAGE BOARD and it will take you there!
PET LOVER'S MESSAGE BOARD
This is my oldest cat Keeley. She is about ten years old and is a definite lap cat. She will sit on any available lap she can find! She is also very vocal. Her nickname is Wedgie. Everynight when my husband and I go to bed she lays on the covers between us and slowly sinks in until she is wedged right between us, hence the nickname Wedgie!
This is our middle kitty. Her name is Tigger. She is five years old. We call her our Upstairs Girl as she will only sit on our laps if we are upstairs. She watches over our boys quite closely. If it gets to be past their bedtime she comes and sits on the bottom step waiting for them to get in bed. Lately the boys have been both sleeping in the top bunk. When they get in bed she crawls in with them and waits for them to go to sleep. As soon as they are asleep she comes back downstairs and waits for my husband and I to go to bed. If we stay up too late she gets very upset and prances around in circles trying to get us to go to bed. She is our little gaurdian angel.
This is our baby Sharkie. He is almost three years old! We happened upon him quite by accident. The boys and I went into the pet store one day to pass some time. They had this adorable kitty in a big cage. The shop owner explained that the Humane Society had brought him into the store so he would have a better chance at being adopted. She said I could let him out and play with him. I explained to her that we already had two cats and at that time we had a dog. Therefore, we didn't need anymore pets. Well, he got the best of me! I let the little stinker out of the cage. He immediately won me over! I picked him up and he nuzzled right under my chin. My husband caught up to us and he took a turn holding him. I knew we couldn't adopt him so I put him back in the cage. Well, I couldn't take it, other people were looking at him and I started to panic thinking someone else would adopt him! So, I told the lady we would take him. On the ride home he crawled into the car seat with my youngest boy. He looked like he was buckled right in with him. He took over the house immediately. He adopted us is more like it!!! He loves Saturday and Sunday mornings when I can sleep in and snuggle with him. He loves to rub his little wet nose on my chin. I always say he thinks I am his mom. When he was still a kitty he would suck on my shirt every chance he got. It took awhile to break him of that habit. He loves to fetch superballs too! We will throw it and he will chase it all over and when he catches it he picks it up in his mouth and brings it right back to us so he can do it again! Another of his favorite activities is to climb our bannister and slide down it! He is quite the little fellow! We sure are glad he came home with us that day!!!
