Nicky became a Canine Good Citizen (CGC) on August 3, 1998. |
Nicky is also starting his lure coursing career. On July 17,1999, Nicky completed his AKC Junior Coursing title . Nicky finished his AKC field championship on April 30, 2000 after six trials and three Best of Breeds and two five point majors. Nicky entered his first ASFA trial at the Basenji National Specialty in October 1999 and got Next Best Qualified in Open Stakes. On May 14, 2000 Nicky finished his ASFA field championship. This boy really likes to run :) So much in fact that he finished the year 2000 tied for #4 in ASFA and tied for #3 in AKC!! |

I am also beginning to learn how to show Nicky in conformation. My first time
in the ring with him was at the Basenji Club of Northern California's puppy match in May
where he took Best of Breed (adult). We started to show Nicky in early October of 1999. On February 20, 1999 Nicky earned his first point going Best of Winners at the Santa Clara Valley Kennel Club Show. He now has 7 points toward his championship. |
