- The RECORD headline states, "Internet invitations bring the Bolender clan together." It was interesting to find from the guest list of attendees, out of the 80 households that registered, 40 had email addresses.
- The RECORD states, "About 170 of them - distantly related and ranging in age from 10 to 95 - met in Elmira at Bolender Park during the weekend." CORRECTION: There were about 125 in attendance ranging in age from 1 to 94 years.
- The RECORD states, "Most people with that name [Bolender with various spellings] came to North America in the 1840s from the same area in Germany." CORRECTION: There were several Bolenders (with various spelling) that came to the Pennsylvania colony in the mid 1700s. Many of the Bolenders from the US can trace their ancestry back to them.
- The RECORD states, "During the weekend, one visitor from Germany showed a video of another Bolender reunion." CORRECTION: It was Larry Bohlender from Greeley, Colorado that showed a video that he made of an earlier Bohlender reunion in Germany.
