The staff that worked last night was rather irritating.  I swear they were all born in the barn.  After my roommie and I shut off our lights and started trying to sleep, everytime someone came in they would leave the door open when they left.   Hard to sleep with how bright the light was out in the hallway.

Last night was the first night I slept without the foley catheter.  I was afraid I would be getting up during the night to pee.  But the only time I woke up was when it got hot in this room around 11:30pm.  I didn't get up to go to the bathroom till the nurse came in at 5am to get my blood pressure reading.

The Doc did a Bronchoscopy at 8am this morning and changed my trache to one that is much easier to breath thru.  With this one, I can put my finger on it and make my air go thru my Larynx.  I CAN TALK!  Mother came by at 1pm and stayed a few hours.

I'm still hooked up to an I V.  They have talked about letting me go home soon.  I doubt that it will be today.  It is almost time for them to bring supper.  Hope that it is good and hearty.
