Remedy #1 - Exhale all your air. Next take a deep breath, and hold it for the slow count of 7. You have to do this whole thing without hiccuping, so it might take a few tries.
Remedy #2 - Get a cup or glass, and fill it part way with water. Now take a paper towel or napkin, and cover the top of the cup with it. You can rubber band it in place, or just hold it there. Ok, now drink the water. You should be drinking through the paper towel or napkin. Who knows why this works, it just does.
Remedy #3 - Swallow a teaspoon of sugar, dry.
Remedy #4 - Yank hard on your tongue. This is really hard to do, at least for me, and I haven't actually tried it while I had the hiccups, but hey, it may work for you.
Remedy #5 - Eat some dry bread.
Remedy #6 - Gargle with water.
Remedy #7 - Suck on some crushed ice.
Remedy #8 - Get a brown paper lunch bag. Make a tight seal around your mouth with the bag, now breathe in and out ten times really hard. You should get red in the face, and your hiccups should be gone.
Remedy #9 - Hold your breath for as long as you can, and swallow whenever you feel a hiccup coming.
Remedy #10 - Bring your knees up to your chest, so your chest is compressed.
