Throughout my life I have been moved to write poems on occasion and small personal sayings or aphorisms on a much more frequent basis. It is my hope and intent that I will eventually collect these small writings into one volume for publication. In anticipation of a more organized presentation of my literary efforts at a later time, I feature on this page the few poems that have been published by The International Library of Poetry on their web site and in their annual collections of "Best Poems and Poets". The first of my poems that they accepted and published was "River Light". It was included in the 2001 volume. They published "Wordless Kindness" in the 2002 volume. Finally, I received an editor's choice award and was featured as the first artist in their 2003 volume with my poem "Golden Door". All of these poems can be found below on this page. I hope that you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed composing them.

River Light

The river of time flows slowly through
A valley of mystery.

Beyond the banks shift many shapes
Coming, going, knowing.

Beyond the hills the lightning strikes
And flashes briefly,
But on and on the river flows in me and you.

Within the stream swim many things
Dreams of now and never.

Bubbles sparkle as shadows sing,
But light laughs on ever.

Hail river, hail valley, hail sky, hail light!

Sing on! Through day, through night.

Wordless Kindness

I have come to a land
Where kindness is a foreign tongue,
And I strive to hear
The strum of heartstrings
Resounding tones too oft unsung.

Helios help me! Terra embrace me!
For my heart wings in silence
Through a world gone awry.

O lovely rhythm of heaven's true knowledge
Stop ne'er to hum sweetly twixt these atoms and cells.
I love thee! I love thee! In kinder and chorus.
Sing stars, sing stones, sing leaves, sing rivers.
Heart-givers of kindness You are my home.

This trail of tears and mirth
Through a land of deep burdens
Is a trial yet a treasure
For true hearts come to earth.

Step alight, step aright,
Step along, all ye hummers.
Dance the waves of each bourne
To a bourne unknown.

Golden Door

Footsteps falling on the path
Like arrows of reality planted
In a target of time's turning,
I am calling to the first and the last
Heroes and Heroines of burning.
Burning, burning, borning souls
Come forth in time and space
Of measureless meaning.
Hear me! Time is not for naught.
You are Self-taught by wordless thoughts
That hum through Mother's matrices
Of beauty, pain, perfection and sweet satsang
Sounds singing beyond the grasp
Of mortal ears and minds.
Center in the ceaseless muse of love.
Remember your form of limitless light
Happy flight on Love's holy high way
To the Door you are.
Open yourself.
Grasp the time, turn it.
Move the mass of false mind.
Loose your treasure's tide
And e'en in this mortal realm,
Home are we, again.
