The Cookie Crossing

I love it when my friend Madison comes to visit her grandparents. They live next door to our place. Madison lives with her mom who goes to university in a place called Guelph. They don't come home nearly as often as I would like. When Madison is visiting, we always meet at the cookie crossing. If no one is outside when I see her, I run and tell my folks that Madison is there and we need cookies. Fast!

The cookie crossing is a break in the shrubs between the two houses. I helped my mom trim back the bushes so that we could all see when Madison was there to meet me. As mom cut the branches, I hauled them across the lawn for her. It was a tough job...some of those branches were bigger than me!

Madison also comes over to my house, or I go to her grandparents' place, so that we can play together. She's such a pretty girl I don't even mind when she eats my lunch. I just stand there and watch her eat and hope supper isn't a long way off.

Sometimes we go to the park together and get to run free. It's wonderful! When Madison runs in the creek though, I just watch her. I figure water isn't good for a guy like me. I don't do rain and I don't do creeks! Well, maybe just to get a drink if I'm really thirsty.

I've asked my mom to take more pictures of Madison that we could put here (there is only one in my photo album so far) so come back and visit us soon.

p.s. You've probably guessed by now that I have a lot of girl friends. Yeah (blush), I'm just a travelin' man.
