Isle of Man **NOTE:..Fredrick( Fred) Boswell is know to have arrived on the Isle of Man in 1864 . the story says that he arrived for the summer season but his wife, Harriet, was so seasick coming over that she refused to go back. The family ran a small circus with horses , singers and dancers , more members of the extended family going over to help and setting up camp at Douglas Head. Fred Boswell became known as "King of the Manx Gypsies, and used to entertain at many social occasions with his violin.
